I tried the game with my new internet. I did change firstrun to 1 before so I changed the speed to my new speed. When I choose my character, it takes quite a while to receive the game data and then once it has loaded, it is worse then dial up was
I am using a wireless adapter to connect to my wireless modem The speed is around 2mbps.
Any reason why it is going slow?

My guess would be the wireless card, Some cards are just super slow.

Guild Wars runs slowly too..it must be my card... But my card works fairly fast for internet browsing...
Maybe I should use the software given to me with the card First maybe I should try connecting my computer to the modem with the ethernet cable...

using the ethernet cable is just as slow at running the game as the wireless card, so it's not the wireless card... Maybe it's the modem?

Its problem the modem.... have u disconnected/reconnected? or power jumped it, if ur connect is working so slow
Power Jump: 1. Take out power cord from modem 2.Wait 10 seconds 3.Plug it back in 4.It should like do something like, flash on and off for a few seconds and get back to working...
if it dosent work, It could be ur internet service providers fault?
Im not sure lol....Again im still a nub to these things..but just to help

Power jumping didn't seem to do anything, maybe I did it wrong...all that happened was it just turned on normally when I plugged it back in...
