Coffee and Webbrowser

At school, some people like Google Chrome and think FireFox sucks, and others have it around the other way.
What I found was, the people who like coffee, perfer FireFox and those who don't like coffee perfer Chrome.

I like coffee and think Chrome isn't good - and I don't trust Google, their updater thing always runs on startup unless you rename or delete it (no entries in the startup registry and such, no scheduled tasks and yet it still starts - I read somewhere it starts up when Windows starts, not when you log in......)

How about other people?
What browser do you perfer (not limited to FireFox and Chrome), and do you like coffee?

A lot of people hate IE...I don't see anything wrong with it....
And consiering people say Chrome is faster, for me FireFox is A LOT faster at displaying webpages...

Oh no, now 2 people have disproved my random theory
(one person not on these forum also disproved it )

FF sucks, and crashes ALOT.

Opera is epic, but slow opening, and closing.

Chrome opens fast, and closes fast, and never crashes.

IE just plain sucks XD

Safari is better than IE, but still goes pretty slow.


As for what goes faster, it's chrome.
I did some speed test.

Chrome is 2.3secs faster than ff.
3.8secs faster than Opera
5.1secs faster than ie
and 1.2secs faster than safari

And yeah, I love coffee, and use Chrome

well i love coffee and i think chromes the best. as much as i dont trust google chrome has proven to be the fastest and most reliable web browser i've used.

Yeah chrome is so sexy, and way customizable

For me, FF has NEVER crashed, Chrome has crashed A LOT for me, sometime even when you press the close button it says that it crashed and restarts

I find Opera quite slow at loading webpages and such....

For me FF and Chrome are kind of similar opening and closeing times

I don't see anything wrong with IE...it's not horrible...

I might have already saif this, but for me FF loads pages quite a bit faster then Chrome

I perfer the look of FF to Chrome, and one thing with Chrome I hate, when you close the last tab, it closes the whole browser...if I want to close the whole brower, I'll click on the close button
It should either make it so the last tab can't be closed, or be like Lunascape and just display an image thing when there are no open tabs

And ff has crashed when I had linux, and on xp, chrome has never crash.
ff opens a hell of a lot slower lol.
And IE is just horrid, ugly, slow, made by microsoft, opens slower than ff, and the newest ie is worse than ie 6 lol

i hardly ever drink coffee, but i do like it when i do...

I use Chrome as my normal browser (for gaming and all that)

but i use fire fox for other stuff

I haven't modified my FF source.

computers vary. IE8 opens faster than FF for me...
It's not that slow, it does have some compatitibility issues though.... I wouldn't call it ugly....
I think IE8 is a lot better than IE6...

back years and years and years and years ago, IE6 would always crash on my computer (it was the computer I had before the one before this , it had a pentium 2 processor .. and I still have that processor...) so I would use Mozilla (that's right, back before the days of FireFox\being called FireFox)
But I wanted to play Runescape...and back then Java was only for IE/trident based browsers so I used Advant xD

Yeah, I don't drink it much either..

With all these people complaining about crashes, and lagging, or w/e.. How good is your internet connection? (Some browsers do just suck sometimes but obviously worse if your connection is really low/slow.)

My connection is uber cable.
FF, and IE are the only ones to crash on me.

Yeah I don't really like IE 8 on anything newer than Windows XP, mainly because it makes it look liek Vista, but that's just looks, they run great for me.
