Im making a game! (includes questions)

Ok guys im creating a game but first i need to ask a question...

I need to know a good game creation software, either free or *cough* downloadable *cough*

Ive tried Game maker its horrible at getting it all right... and TheKris should know as well as anyone how crap it is xD

I dont want to make an MMO as it would drag players away from Kryce and i dont wanna do that

I have a plateform game set up, it just needs level design & some graphics if you wanted to have a go at one.

umm... I've used eclipse, game maker, playcrafter, map001, Adobe flash develop, and some other things...

What type of game do you want to make?

Map001 is pretty good...fairly flexable...

If you want to make a platform game, tell me to hurry up

I was thinking RPG...

I was also thinking Platformer...

I have played Playcrafter... made a pretty good series (The "Epic" series) although many people do not like playcrafter because of its Ease of Use making games on it... dont get me wrong the games have racked up $17 on kongregate that i cant claim until it hits $25.

Map001 looks pretty good... give me some more information.

Flash develop looks good but i have little to no effing idea how to write flash nor graphics.

Ill be happy to help make a platformer if anyone needs my help =P

What info do you want about Map001? The screenshots on the website are out of date BTW

With Map001.

1. To make a small RPG how much time would i need?
2. if i wanted a big one how long?
3. can i make platformers on it.
.. and do i need to learn to put fuctions in certain spots like Game Maker

and what kind of files can i make these (im really hoping Flash)

For 1 and 2, it depends on:
a) If you are making custom grahics
b) How fast you can script and map
c) How advanced you want to script the game
d) It depends on what a "small" and "big" game is

For number 3, it is in the process of becoming Platform, however, it will still be a while (but probably, it'll be done before I finish BlaZe )

It has point and click scripting...try this http://www.engine001.com/forum/download/file.php?id=6051&mode=view ...it is a screenshot of the new scripter (new meaning, it was upgraded ) It may look complicated kind of, but it's quite easy.
It has a wiki which could be of use..

No, it doesn't make flash files...it creates a data file used by Engine001 (the engine )...

when you've picked an engine let me know and i'll help make it

haha, don't feel stupid, everyone over looks and doesn't notice stuff at times
I think it's starting to come together, looking good and working well - although there is still quite a lot left to do

It's going pretty good, I'm at my aunt's hous and I won't be home for 'bout two days, but I'm gonna give you guys some good ones on sunday =D
